Veneer Paper for Engineered Wood Veneer is a high-performance composite decorative material, created by bonding engineered wood veneer with melamine-impregnated paper (melamine paper) through a high-temperature, high-pressure process. It combines the natural beauty of wood grain with the durability and stability of industrial finishes, overcoming the limitations of traditional solid wood or melamine boards. Core Structure and Process
■ Substrate Layer:
Made from fast-growing woods such as poplar and pine, the veneer is processed through bleaching, coloring, gluing, and slicing to produce 0.3–0.6mm thick engineered wood veneer. This layer accurately reproduces natural wood grain while avoiding defects like knots or wormholes.
■ Decorative Layer:
The decorative layer consists of melamine paper treated with melamine-formaldehyde resin. Resin content is controlled at 120–150 g/m², forming a high-density, hard surface film after drying.
■ Composite Process:
Using hot pressing at 145–165℃ and 2.0–3.0 MPa, molecular-level covalent bonding is achieved in 30–50 seconds, resulting in a stable composite structure without bubbles or delamination.
